Irish Wrestling Club

The Irish Wrestling Club (IWC) is now accepting registrations for the Winter AAU Wrestling Season!

The IWC is a Beginner/Intermediate club open to boys and girls (K-8). We focus on mastering sound fundamental wrestling skills for our beginners as well as preparing more experienced wrestlers for success at higher level competitions. 

IWC is led by Director Jay Adamson, a two-time state Champion and graduate of Notre Dame High School ('07), and now Head Wrestling Coach at Notre Dame. There are several talented coaches on the IWC staff with decades of combined wrestling coaching experience. IWC coaches are willing and able to accommodate all experience levels, from true beginners to those wrestlers trying to get to the next level.

IWC Registration

Required

All wrestlers will need to order training shorts directly from the IWC Rudis team store. Singlets will be provided by the Irish Wrestling Club and returned at the end of the season. Please fill out the singlet size chart below.

About Coach Adamson


Jay Adamson is entering into his third year as Notre Dame Wrestling's Head Coach. Previously, he held the assistant coach title for 3 years. During his time at Notre Dame, Jay had an impressive high school wrestling career. He was a four time state finalist and a two time state champion. After graduating, Jay attended and wrestled for UNC-Chapel Hill where he received his degree in Communications. Jay is also an academic counselor, learning support specialist, and Marketing Teacher at Notre Dame.
