The College Board's Advanced Placement Program enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school.The program consists of college-level courses developed by the AP Program that high schools can choose to offer, and corresponding exams that are administered once a year. Notre Dame offers eleven different AP course.
Nine students were named AP Scholars with Distinction for having an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on five or more exams. Winners of the AP Scholar with Distinction Award are August Anderson '18, Evan delCarmen '19, Alex Griffy '18, Will Ingell '19, Patrick Lee '18, Hannah Monroe '18, Grant Speer '18, Alexander Tuttle '18, and Augusta Westhoff '19.
Six students earned the AP Scholars with Honor award for receiving an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams. Students receiving this award are Rose Albert '18, Sarah Desai '19, Justin Hensley '18, Molly McNamara '19, Ai-Vi Nguyen '19, and James Schumacher '19.
Twenty-one students were named AP Scholars. This award is granted to students who receive a score of 3 or higher on three or more exams.
