Position: Director of Admissions
Report to: Head of School
General Duties: Directs all outreach and admissions process efforts from point of inquiry to enrollment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Enthusiastically Promote Notre Dame & Actively Recruit New Students/Families:
- Initiate opportunities to attract new students through networking, public relations, and recruitment events
- Build a network of positive relationships with outside institutions or groups (schools, churches, civic associations) that can be helpful in attracting quality students
- Develop relationships with Catholic foundation school staff and families and coordinate outreach to elevate Notre Dame’s presence with those communities
- Work with international student agencies to recruit and enroll international students
- Inspire the Notre Dame community to actively participate in admissions events and refer prospective families; recruit and coordinate ambassador programs
- Represent Notre Dame and our mission to the community and with prospective families
Efficiently & Compassionately Manage the Admissions Process:
- Gain the respect and trust of parents to provide a positive influence in their decision-making process
- Actively invite families to move from inquiring, to visiting, to applying, to enrolling
- Schedule and coordinate tours, visit days, open houses, scholar days, and admission testing
- Secure and track necessary documentation for applications
- Manage prospective parent and student expectations and deliver admissions decisions in a manner that is honest, caring, and diplomatic
- Facilitate integration of new families into the school
Manage Data, Plan, & Evaluate:
- Develop recruitment, retention, and public relations plans with Advancement Team
- Coordinate recruitment initiatives to meet enrollment goals
- Manage historical admission data
- Manage the admissions budget
- Assist advancement team with other duties and events
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience in admissions, sales, marketing, or related field.
- Customer service driven with demonstrated ability to initiate and build relationships
- Self-directed with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines, and follow through in a fast-paced environment
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
