The Back to School Dance will be held on August 29th from 9:00 – 11:30 pm. Ticket will be sold for $5 each during lunch through Thursday of this week. Tickets will be $7 at the door. Students who purchase their ticket by Wednesday will be allowed to come out of uniform on Thursday.
Picture day is Friday, August 29th. All juniors, sophomores and freshmen will have their picture taken in uniform.
Support OLPH School - Mark your calendar for the 3rd Annual OLPH Oktoberfest Ram Run (5K race and 1 mile fun run/walk) on Saturday, October 25th. Click here for the registration form. This will be a great way to kick off the entire Oktoberfest weekend at the First Tennessee Pavilion.
The first home football game is Friday, August 29th. Don’t forget to turn in your booster club membership forms prior to these games. Booster club cards are being mailed out now. Look for your cards in the mail. Contact the front office if you would like to pick your cards up in the front office instead of having them mailed to your home address.

Notre Dame High School is hosting a College Fair on Wednesday, September 17th from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. All students and their parents are encouraged to attend. Last year, over 80 colleges and universities from Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Missouri, Vermont, Pennsylvania and California were represented at the fair. This is an excellent opportunity for students and their parents to learn more about the admission requirements, academic programs and campus life of many different colleges and universities.

Nominate your favorite teacher for the Golden Apple Award sponsored by Bi-Lo and WDEF. Nomination forms are available at all Bi-Lo stores. Weekly winners receive a prize and are featured on the WDEF newscast. All weekly winners will be honored at the first annual Golden Apple Award banquet in May, at which time a Teacher of the Year will be announced.
Attention all 11th and 12th grade students: Peer tutors are needed for the following areas: Biology, Conceptual Physics, Chemistry, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Spanish I & II and French I & II. Students must be dependable, responsible, have no discipline issues and have earned at least a B in an Honors class for the area they are tutoring (last year’s grades). Interested students should see Mrs. Storey. Tutors will earn $10 hour.

The University of Notre Dame local Alumni Club is holding a raffle to raise money for a scholarship program to support students from our area who are accepted at Notre Dame. The raffle is for two tickets to the Notre Dame home game on Sept. 13th against the University of Michigan. Raffle tickets are $25.00 each and the winner will receive the two game tickets at no additional cost.
