To earn a Notre Dame diploma, a student must attend four years of high school. All students take eight classes per semester. Over a four year period, students can earn 33 credits. For the Class of 2012 and beyond, these credits must be earned in the following distribution:
4.0 Religion (or 1 unit for each year at Notre Dame)
4.0 Math
4.0 English
4.0 Science (advised as senior elective)
3.0 Foreign Language
1.0 U.S. History
1.0 World History
1.5 Health & Wellness
.5 U.S. Government/Civics
.5 Economics
.5 Personal Finance
.5 Geography (advised as Social Studies Elective)
1.0 Fine Arts
1.0 Computers/ IT
1.0 Service
(1/4 credit for each year of passing service requirements)
5.5 Academic Electives
